Common questions
Everything people ask us most
We deliver inside a radius around our kitchen in Chennai — the app shows the exact range. Put your area into the location search and it'll tell you immediately whether we reach you. If your pin came from a rough map position rather than a GPS fix, that check can be wrong; entering your address gives an accurate answer. We don't deliver to moving vehicles, no-entry zones or anywhere a rider would have to trespass.
Usually about 15 to 20 minutes for most addresses. The estimate in the app accounts for how busy the kitchen is, rider availability, traffic and how far you are — but it's an estimate, not a booked slot. Evenings, rain and gated societies all add time, and a rider may need to wait at your gate. You can follow your rider live once the order is out for delivery.
Nothing is cooked in advance and held. Your parathas are rolled and go on the tawa only after you order, then they're packed hot and sealed. You'll get them steaming. One honest caveat: parathas are best eaten straight away. If you're saving some for later, refrigerate them and reheat in a pan rather than a microwave — a dry paratha never comes back to life.
Read this bit properly. Our kitchen handles wheat, gluten, milk, dairy, ghee, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame and mustard, and recipes change as suppliers do. We cannot promise an allergen-free plate or rule out cross-contact, even for an item that doesn't list a particular allergen. A 'veg' label describes that item, not the whole kitchen. If you're managing a serious allergy, a medical condition or a pregnancy diet, please talk to a qualified professional and call us before ordering. A cooking note is a request, never a medical guarantee.
You pick the parathas and the box arrives with dips included free — that's the whole point of the box. Sweets are a separate paid add-on if you want them. Boxes get 10% off automatically, and delivery is free once your subtotal passes the free-delivery threshold shown at checkout. Dips are free on boxes but charged individually on a regular order.
UPI, debit cards, credit cards and netbanking, all handled by Razorpay. You can also spend part of your Tiffino Wallet balance on any order — you'll see the option at checkout if your balance covers part of the bill. We never see or store your card number, CVV or UPI PIN, and we will never ask for them over the phone. If your bank shows a debit but no order appears, check Your Orders before ordering again; bank reversals take a day or two.
Report it from the order itself: Your Orders, open the order, tap Report an issue. Please do it within an hour of delivery and before you throw the food or packaging away, because photos and the packaging are most of what we can investigate with. Depending on what's wrong, the fix could be a remake, a partial refund, a full refund, or wallet credit. For anything food-safety related — an odd smell, a foreign object, a broken seal — don't eat it, keep it, and call us immediately on +91 8610550602.
Order twice in a week and a free mystery snack gets added to your next order automatically. There's nothing to redeem and nothing to tap. The streak resets at midnight on Sunday, so if you're one order short on Saturday night, order. On top of that, lifetime milestones at 10, 20, 50 and 100 orders reward you again — a milestone gift stacks with your weekly streak.
Share your code from the Refer & Earn page. Your friend gets money off their first order when they enter it at checkout, and you get wallet credit once their first order is actually delivered. Codes can only be applied before someone's first order, and there's one code per account. Referrals you've brought in show up on the same page with their status, so you can see who's ordered and who hasn't yet.
Cancel from Your Orders. If the order is still pending you'll get a full refund. Once we've accepted it we may still be able to catch it before the tawa, but after cooking starts it's usually too late — we roll to order, so the ingredients are committed and the food is made for you. Address changes are only possible before preparation begins. If it's already out for delivery, call the rider or us.
Share your gate code, flat or tower number, and any visitor instructions before the rider arrives — putting it in the delivery instructions when you order is easiest. If security won't admit them, they'll wait at the gate or reception and you may need to collect the order yourself. Riders won't enter unsafe areas, climb unsafe stairs or break parking rules to reach you.
Report it on the order and send photos if you can — that's the fastest route to a fix. Go to Your Orders, find the order, tap Report an issue, pick the category and describe what happened. Reporting within the hour, with the food and packaging kept, is what lets us resolve it quickly. Deliberately invented claims get accounts restricted.
