Refund policy
When you can cancel, how long a refund takes, and what happens when something arrives wrong.
Tiffino / refunds
Fair rules, explained upfront.
We cook to order. That's why our cancellation window is shorter than most restaurants' and why we ask for problems to be reported quickly. We'd rather fix a genuine mistake than argue about it.
Cancellation
When you can still cancel
Open Your Orders, pick the order, and hit Cancel. The sooner you do it, the more likely it is to land.
- Before we acceptFull refund
The order is still pending. Cancel freely from Your Orders and the whole amount comes back.
- After we accept, before we start cookingFull refund, if we can catch it
If we can stop the kitchen before your parathas hit the tawa, we'll cancel and refund in full. Ask quickly — the moment is decided by the kitchen, not by you.
- Once we're preparing your orderUsually not refundable
We roll to order. Once cooking has started the ingredients are committed and the food is made specifically for you, so cancellation usually isn't possible.
- Out for deliveryNot cancellable
The rider is on the road with your food. Please call the rider or support if there's a genuine problem — we'll sort it under the quality rules below.
If we cancel your order — item unavailable, kitchen closed, address out of range, payment won't confirm — we tell you before or as it happens, and you're refunded in full regardless of where it got to.
Timelines
How long a refund takes
We initiate refunds the same working day we approve them. How long it takes to land depends on your bank, not on us.
UPI
1–3 working daysBack to the same UPI ID you paid from. Your bank controls the final credit — usually instant, occasionally a day or two.
Debit / credit card
5–7 working daysRazorpay initiates the reversal to the same card. Your bank's posting time is outside our control.
Netbanking
3–5 working daysRefunded to the source account. Most banks post it within 48 hours; some take longer.
Tiffino Wallet credit
Instant, to your balanceIf any part of your order was paid with wallet balance, it's returned as wallet credit straight away. It never expires and can be spent on any future order.
Wallet credit counts as refunded. If we refund part of your order as Tiffino Wallet credit, it goes straight back to your balance, never expires, and can be spent on any future order. If you'd rather have money back to your bank, tell us and we'll arrange that instead.
Something wrong?
Reporting a quality issue
Missing items, spilled food, something wrong, or food that wasn't right. Report it within an hour of delivery, and before you throw anything away — we can't investigate what we can't see.
- 1
Open the order
Go to Your Orders, find the order, and tap Report an issue. This attaches the order to your report automatically — no digging out order numbers.
- 2
Tell us what happened
Pick the category that fits — missing items, damaged or spilled, wrong items, food quality or delay, or something else — and say what went wrong.
- 3
Send photos if it's relevant
For damage, spillage, wrong items or a quality problem, photos help us decide quickly. Take them before you throw anything away.
- 4
Hear from us
Someone will review it against the order and rider record. The outcome might be a remake, a partial refund, a full refund, wallet credit — or no adjustment if it checks out fine.
Food safety is different
If food smells off, contains something foreign, or the packaging was tampered with, don't wait for an hour and don't eat it. Keep the food and packaging and call us on +91 8610550602 straight away.
The straight answer
What we can't refund
- Changing your mind after we've started cooking. The food is already made for you.
- Taste preference — you ordered it, you disliked it. Sorry, that's not something we can refund.
- Ordinary variation in a hand-made paratha. Shape, thickness and browning differ every time; that's the point.
- Reporting a problem hours or days later, after the food has been eaten or thrown away.
- A wrong or incomplete address, or being unreachable when the rider arrives.
- Adding items or a second order that you no longer want.
- Orders placed through a promo or box offer that has its own stated conditions.
Repeated or invented claims are treated as abuse. We may restrict the account and recover benefits that shouldn't have been granted. If you think we've got this wrong, talk to us — we'd rather explain the decision than have you walk away annoyed.
Need help with a refund?
Report the issue from inside the order first — it gets our team the payment reference, delivery record and rider notes they need. If you can't find the order, or it's urgent, reach us directly.
