Terms & conditions

How ordering, delivery, payment and refunds actually work at Tiffino. Written to be read.

Tiffino / customer agreement

Clear terms for every order.

These terms cover the app, this website and every order placed through either. They're written to be read, not to be skipped.

Updated 24 September 202614 sectionsPlain English
  • Fresh food means our cancel window is short — check before you tap pay.
  • Allergies: our kitchen handles wheat, dairy, ghee, nuts and sesame.
  • Delivery times are estimates, and a rider may be delayed for your gate.
  • We never ask for your PIN, CVV or OTP outside the payment screen.

These terms cover your use of the Tiffino app, this website, and any order you place through either. Placing an order means you accept them, along with our Privacy Policy and anything shown at checkout.

  • Tiffino is a kitchen that cooks fresh parathas to order and a delivery service that brings them to your door. The kitchen named on your order is what prepares your food.
  • Menus, prices, delivery areas, timings and offers can change with demand, season or availability. What you see at checkout is what applies to your order.
  • If you don't agree with these terms, don't order. Easy.
  • If any single clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of these terms still stand.

You must be legally able to enter into a contract to order from us. Where local law sets a minimum age, anyone below it needs a parent or guardian to order on their behalf.

  • Give us accurate details: your name, mobile number, email and delivery address. A wrong phone number is the single most common reason a delivery fails.
  • You're responsible for everything done through your account, including orders placed from a shared or unlocked device.
  • One person, one account. Multiple accounts to farm referral rewards, duplicate offers or dodge a suspension will get closed.
  • We may ask for an OTP, address proof or similar verification to protect customers, our kitchen and our riders.
  • We can restrict, suspend or close an account where the details are false, activity is fraudulent, a payment is reversed, or these terms are broken.

We keep menu names, descriptions, photos, portion sizes, ingredient lists and veg/non-veg labels as accurate as we can. Everything is rolled and cooked by hand in batches, so two parathas will never be pixel-identical.

  • An item can sell out after you add it to your cart, or even after you pay. If that happens we'll offer a replacement, remove it, or cancel and refund that part of the order.
  • Photos show a representative serving. Natural variation in a hand-made paratha isn't a defect.
  • An item being listed doesn't mean the kitchen can make it right now, in that quantity, or with a specific modification.
  • If you need a particular ingredient, portion or preparation, ask support before ordering rather than relying on a menu label.
  • We can fix an obvious typo or pricing error before we start cooking.

Our kitchen handles wheat, gluten, milk, dairy, ghee, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, mustard and eggs. Recipes and suppliers change, so always check the current item information before ordering.

  • We cannot promise an allergen-free plate or rule out cross-contact, even for items that don't list an allergen.
  • If you have a severe allergy, a medical condition, or you're pregnant and adjusting your diet, talk to a qualified professional and to us before ordering. If the risk isn't acceptable, don't order.
  • A 'veg' label describes that item. It doesn't mean the rest of the kitchen is free of dairy, ghee or shared surfaces.
  • We may decline a request we can't prepare safely and consistently. A cooking note is a request, not a medical guarantee.
  • If food arrives smelling odd, damaged, or with a broken seal, don't eat it. Keep the food and packaging, take photos, and call us immediately.

You can add notes like less spicy, no onion or extra chutney. Our kitchen will try, but what they can change depends on where the dish is in its prep and what food safety allows.

  • Anything you paid extra for is only really ordered if it appears as its own line in your final order summary.
  • We can't remove an ingredient that's already in a mixed sauce, dough, marinade or shared prep.
  • We may turn down a request that conflicts with how we cook or creates a safety risk.
  • Taste is taste. Liking it more or less isn't grounds for a refund or a remake.

We deliver inside our service radius to the address you confirm at checkout. That radius moves with kitchen capacity, rider availability, traffic, weather and local restrictions, and we may not reach every pin inside it.

  • Give the full address: flat or house number, building, floor, landmark, pin code, your name and a working phone number. Turn on location access if we ask, so we can check the pin.
  • A wrong, incomplete, unmapped or unreachable address means delay, redirection, cancellation, or an extra delivery charge where one applies.
  • You can change the address up to a point, subject to whether we deliver there and what it costs. A change isn't done until the app or support confirms it.
  • We can't move a delivery once it's out for delivery.
  • Don't order to a moving vehicle, a no-entry zone, or anywhere a rider would have to trespass. We won't deliver there.

Gate codes, security checks, visitor approvals, parking rules and lifts all affect delivery time. You need to make access work, not the rider.

  • Share gate instructions, the access code, tower or block name, and approve the visitor before the rider arrives.
  • If security won't let the rider in, they'll wait at the gate or reception, and you may need to collect it from there.
  • Riders don't have to enter unsafe areas, climb unsafe stairs, cross restricted premises, or leave a vehicle where parking is banned.
  • If entry needs a fee, a parking charge or special permission, that's yours to arrange unless the app says otherwise.

The estimate you see is calculated from kitchen prep time, how busy we are, rider availability, traffic and how far you are. It's a good-faith estimate, not a promise of a specific minute.

  • The rider may call or message you on the way, on arrival, or if something's unclear. Keep your phone reachable until the handover is done.
  • Please check the bag at handover. We may ask for a one-time delivery code to confirm it reached you.
  • The rider can hand over to a nominated person, reception or security, but only where you've authorised that or picked contactless delivery.
  • An order counts as delivered when it's handed to you or your authorised person, or left at an authorised spot after reasonable attempts.

If the rider can't find your address, get into your building, reach you, or make a safe handover, they'll try the contact details and instructions on the order. After that, the food has to go.

  • Please pick up your phone. The rider may wait up to about 10 minutes at the delivery point, depending on safety and how things are going.
  • If the delivery fails because you were unreachable, the address was wrong, you refused a valid handover, or you didn't sort access, we may cancel the order with no refund.
  • Don't ask for a drop somewhere exposed or unsafe. If you choose contactless, you accept the risk of theft, weather or contamination once it's left.
  • If a delivery fails for a reason on our side, contact support straight away and we'll investigate and put it right.

Storms, flooding, road closures, strikes, power cuts, kitchen incidents, public health events and anything else outside our reasonable control can affect when we cook and when we ride.

  • We may delay, pause or cancel orders when continuing would put customers, kitchen staff, riders or the public at unreasonable risk.
  • If we cancel, we'll tell you what happens to your money. What's refunded depends on how far we got and how you paid.
  • A delayed order isn't automatically owed compensation. Support will look at genuine failures case by case.
  • Rider safety beats the timer. Please never pressure a rider to break traffic, weather or safety rules.

We pack hot food in tamper-evident packaging chosen by the kitchen. Steam condenses, and temperature changes on the way. Packaging helps keep food good; it doesn't keep it hot or safe forever.

  • Before eating, check for missing items, leaks, damage, an odd smell, or a broken seal. If any of those, don't eat it — call us.
  • Refrigerate anything you won't eat straight away, follow any reheating instructions, and use your own judgement on safety. Don't reheat in the box unless the packaging says it's fine.
  • We're not responsible for illness or spoilage caused by storing, reheating or handling food badly after delivery.
  • Please don't reuse packaging in a way that creates a hygiene risk.

An order becomes binding once we confirm it. You can ask us to change or cancel it, but it only counts once we confirm that. Because we cook to order, after we accept or start preparing, changes often aren't possible.

  • Before we confirm, you can just remove things from your cart. After that, it depends on where your order is in our kitchen.
  • If we cancel — item unavailable, kitchen closed, address out of range, payment won't confirm, safety issue — we'll tell you what happens to your money.
  • If you cancel after we've started cooking, the order may not be refundable, or only partly, as allowed by law and as shown at checkout.
  • Box builders, large orders and promo orders may have their own cancellation windows, shown when you order.

Your final total can include item prices, packaging or handling charges, delivery fees, taxes, discounts and any add-ons you've chosen. The exact total and your payment method are both shown before you confirm.

  • Prices and fees can change by time, distance, demand, weather or promotion. Changes never affect an order we've already accepted, unless we're fixing an obvious error.
  • Use a payment method you're authorised to use and complete any authentication asked for. A failed or reversed payment can mean cancellation or an account review.
  • If your bank shows a debit but no order appears, don't immediately order again. Check your order history and contact us — reversals run on the bank's timeline, not ours.
  • Tiffino will never ask for your card PIN, CVV, password or OTP outside the secure payment or verification screen. Never read one out to a caller or a rider.
  • We'll issue a receipt or tax invoice based on the details you provide.

If something's missing, wrong, damaged, unsafe or never arrived, contact Help & Support as soon as you can. We'll ask for the order number and anything else we need to look into it properly.

  • Report quality, safety, missing-item or delivery problems within an hour of delivery, and before you throw the food or packaging away. Food safety issues: call us right now.
  • Depending on what happened, the fix may be a remake, partial refund, full refund, wallet credit, or nothing. A complaint isn't automatically a refund.
  • Refunds normally go back to the original payment method on the provider's timeline. Wallet credit, promo credit and cash components follow their own rules shown at checkout.
  • No refund for taste, ordinary variation, reporting it days later, food you've eaten or binned before we could look, a wrong address, being unreachable, or changing your mind after we've started cooking.
  • Repeated or false claims are abuse. We may restrict the account and claw back benefits that shouldn't have been granted.

Something unclear?

For anything about an actual order, open Help & Support from that order — it gives our team the status, payment reference and delivery details they need to help you quickly.
